How to crack the Danish cultural codes – The Language

Is the rød grød med fløde making you choke? No worries, because Sharing Copenhagen invites you to a Crash-course in the Danish language.

You moved to Copenhagen. And you meet that new beautiful and strange language: Danish

Maybe you are wondering if you will ever be able to master the pronunciation of even a few of those Danish words?

Ruth Horak, originally from Austria, is a true language-nerd, senior consultant at the University of Copenhagen, who has taught Danish as a foreign language for 20 years. Being an expat herself, she knows the challenges of learning Danish.

It’s not easy… but it’s possible!

‘How to crack the Danish cultural codes – The Language’ is an informal event free of charge for anyone curious about the Danish language and wanting to get some basic insider tips on how to discover Denmark through its language.

Program:

  • 17.30 – 18.30: Crash course in cracking the Danish Cultural Language Codes (Ruth Horak)
  • 18.30 – 20.30: Informal discussion. We invite you for a drink and some snacks.
